What our readers have to say about us

On behalf of the team from Camden Piano Rescue, who on September 28th 2014 set the new world record for the highest every off road delivery of an upright piano, I can say without doubt that we would not have been successful without you. At every stage, from initial planning to the safe delivery of the piano to the little children in Lingshed school, your advice and the extra ordinary competence of your trekking crew enabled us to achieve something that did at times seem impossible. Our special thanks goes out to your local office and leader and our trekking team, the cooks who served us Lemon Drizzle cake up a mountain at 4000 meters on my 65th birthday. Not to forget the great drivers, who made our journey safe and comfortable while manouevering through the mountain roads!!

Thank you very much for your very good organization of our tour. Everything was very good and we relaxed, the hotels were very comfortable. Once again we enjoyed best of the services provided by you. We shall be contacting you again before starting our next trip to India.

Ann Griffiths & Bob Lauder – Markha Valley, India

This was a trip of a lifetime as far as I was concerned and it lived up to all my expectations, and more. Thanks to everyone in your team.

Ian Forder – Sikkim, India

A great trip, Bhutan is a wonderful place, and the new route of the trek must have been far more interesting and exciting than the original. We went over 6 passes in 5 days and got some wonderful views that we would otherwise not have seen.

Bob Haskins – Bhutan

Experiencing this part of India. Had been to northern India several years ago and this had a very different vibe. The wide range of knowledge of our leader gave us a lot of insight into the culture, history, flora and fauna. Enjoyed the various people that we met along the way. Because the focus is not doing the tourist things, but getting to know the people of the area and their culture on a more personal basis.

Cindy Lee – Kerala, India

Meeting local people. The beautiful scenery. Getting to the top. I think that I got an excellent insight into Ladakh and the Markha valley. The guide made sure that I got to the summit on a day that I found hard.

Peter Noble – Dzo Jongo Peak , India

All arrangements worked as planned, the accommodation was good and food superb. Two tigers in the Sunderbans – one swimming and seen at close range. Just missed a red panda in Neora as we walked a short cut on a path instead of the track – hey ho. Lots of animals and birds elsewhere plus Rohit Sharma hitting world record 264 at Eden gardens in the ODI against Sri lanka.

Many thanks

Very happy to recommend your company.

A Andrassy – North East India

Arranged a fantastic introduction to northern India and Bhutan. We experienced all aspects of northern India – the hustle and bustle of Delhi, the calm and serenity of the tea plantations of Darjeeling, the majesty of the Himalayas and not forgetting the enchanting Kingdom of Bhutan. A memorable trip with great guides to help you make the most of your time there.

J Nethersole – Sikkim, Bhutan

Our tour in Rajasthan was short but unforgettable, thanks to your organisation.

We really enjoyed everything, the hotels you chose were very nice and met our expectations. We had an excellent driver for the tour and a comfortable car to take us places. It was a very good experience discovering India and we would not hesitate to repeat such a trip. We also will recommend you to whoever would like to do a trip to India. Thanks for everything.

We are writing on our return to the UK to inform you just how much we thoroughly enjoyed our trek, and how very impressed we were with the organisation throughout the duration of our stay in India.

We cannot thank you enough for your patience and understanding while we decided on the trek pre-departure, and then on arrival in Ladakh we were met throughout by very kind and friendly colleagues of yours. Our honeymoon was a fantastic success, leaving us with a desire to return to India as soon as we can manage!

The trek itself was magnificent, the guide & his assistant both were excellent, we enjoyed the company and also the food (on many occasions other trekkers mentioned how jealous they were of our incredible food!) from start to finish.

Mr. & Mrs Stevens – Ladakh, India

The food on the trek was amazing-three cooked meals a day and even tea brought to the tent to wake us up each morning and the hygiene standards were great-we all remained healthy despite the cooking conditions being challenging for the cook. All the hotels chosen were very comfortable and clean, the drivers prompt and courteous

This personal service is what distinguishes your organisation from many other travel companies we have used – they always made sure that we were comfortable, happy and answered any questions we had, not only about our trip but other questions we asked about some of the cultural differences we were experiencing. We would highly recommend you to anyone wanting a well run, customer focussed company for travel in India

L Pedler & family – Ladakh, India

I am very pleased with the way High places were able to tailor our trek to start on the day we wanted, and handle movement of ourselves and luggage for the rest of our honeymoon.

That really was the most wonderful holiday! I absolutely loved it and it was so well planned and put together. We really saw the real Kerala. arriving in mad touristy Cochin was a shock! The hotels, the landscape, the routes, the people….just perfect. The dream team of Sanjeev Ancel and Johnson were such a big part of it…. So thanks again…holiday of a lifetime.

Kate Frood – Kerala, India

Still rather jet lagged but we just wanted you to know how fantastic our Kerala trip was. We really did enjoy every minute and it lived up to all our expectations and more. The itinerary was excellent and with packing so much in to our time we felt that we had been away for ages. Sanjeev, Ancel and Johnson felt like good  friends by the end of the trip. They were really good guides and we appreciated all that they did. The accommodation was perfect.Food was brilliant, bikes were just right, cycle routes wonderful. We wouldn’t change anything and are already wanting to plan our next trip! Many thanks to you and your team for organising such an amazing trip.

Helen Barker & Johnny Birks – Kerala, India

Have just returned from the bike trip in Kerala – and we had a completely fantastic time –everything worked so well, it was a truly memorable holiday in every way.  Our three couriers/guides were quite a team – Sanjeev, Ancel and Johnson – and we all felt truly sad to leave them at the end of the week.  The cycling was tough but memorable and enjoyable the routes and the terrain were varied – and it was exceedingly hot but they all ensured we were well hydrated and provided the most excellent snacks – Johnson’s snack table was a highlight.
